I meet these two dogs with an old man sometime on the same street. Today, I dared to ask to take their pictures. The old man seemed to be getting used to it. He just stood behind me and kept these dogs amused with a rattle. Well, I wanted to take a picture with you though…They are always strolling around the city very happily.

くつろぐ　　feel at ease

It makes sounds as if firewood is burning. I use Day na Decker when I want to make myself feel at ease. There are many candles that have beautiful scents. This candle also has six flower scents. What I recommend that you do is not only enjoy the scents, but also listen to the nostalgic sound as if you are relaxing in front of a fireplace.

無駄遣いする　extravagant

One of my favorite directors, Sofia Coppola’s newest film “Marie Antoinette” depicts the queen in a very pop and cute taste. I like how Coppola depicts Marie’s naïve girl aspects and the clothes and knick-knacks, which got academy awards. I was a bit disappointed at the last part of the film making me feel that it is “unfinished”.

★I like the facial expression that Marie shows lying and licking the cream of the cake with her finger while looking at the camera as if she is saying “So what?” It well depicts, historically, her well known extravagant aspect and also her simple and innocent aspect.

The guy in the recent Louis Vuiton’s advertisement is Mikhail Gorbachev＊, the last leader of the USSR. This picture, in which Gorbachev has a LV’s bag beside him was not taken for the advertisement, but taken in front of the Berlin wall on the way back from a conference. The poster says: “Why do people travel? To know the world? Or To change the world?”

★It’s very ironic that the leader of a socialist country had a bag which was one of the icons of democracy. This wasn’t just a pose, he really had one. The poster is really cool because of its reality anyways.

くせ毛・まとまらない髪　　unruly hair

This is the worst season of the year for people who have unruly hair! Humidity makes my unruly hair more curly and puffy. I use many hair care items, such as essential oil and moist control shampoo;, however, these are not working well. I wish Japanese summers had drier and more pleasant weather so that hair styling would be easier.

These curious shapes are windows of Mikimoto building. I always just walk past the front of the building, however, I’ve never looked through these windows. I guess that there are some people who are fascinated in the building and go into the shop.

I found a very neat shoes display at Spiral hall on 246 ave.
When I saw the display from the third floor, the display seemed like a marble pattern.
How to show your work is very important to make people interested in it.

★There is a nice CD shop on the first floor. You can find rare CDs from all over the world.

When you look at this picture, you may feel as if you are walking on a web?
This is a stairway at the Prada building. The building has not only a cool design, but also a nice night view toward Roppongi area.

It looks like a heart, but the red, heartshaped thing is a chair, designed by Vitra. The other colorful strange shapes are also chairs designed by Panton. These chairs seem very unbalanced, but actually they are very wellbalanced. Just try sitting on it.

My skin gets dry in this season. I bought Avene water to soothe my irritated skin.
The can says this is also good for razor burn and diaper rash. This water comes from French spas and has the same effect as hot springs water in Japan.

A Friend of mine sent me a picture of her kids, Miya & Taiyo.
They are biracial children: American and Japanese.
Come to think of it, they look American in one way and Japanese in another way.

★I feel that biracial kids look prettier than single race kids. Well, all kids are cute anyways.

Kewpies are on the march at Ginza Chanel, right across the street from Matuya. Those Kewpie-like dolls are in black Channel suits with black sunglasses. If you go to Ginza, you should visit the shop and see them! You’ll be madly in love with them!

I’m not sure how many dolls are there. It’s worth it to see them!

You can find shining Christmas illumination everywhere. However, the place you can find the holiday season most is …in lingerie shops! Shops start selling a lot of red lingerie. Is it because it’s a Christmas color or are Girls trying to be gorgeous?
