無駄遣いする extravagant
One of my favorite directors, Sofia Coppola’s newest film “Marie Antoinette” depicts the queen in a very pop and cute taste. I like how Coppola depicts Marie’s naive girl aspects and the clothes and knick-knacks, which got academy awards. I was a bit disappointed at the last part of the film making me feel that it is “unfinished”.

★I like the facial expression that Marie shows lying and licking the cream of the cake with her finger while looking at the camera as if she is saying “So what?”It well depicts, historically, her well known extravagant aspect and also her simple and innocent aspect.
私の大好きな監督のひとり、ソフィア・コッポラの“マリー・アントワネット”。孤独な王女をとってもポップでキュートなテイストで描いています。マリーのナイーブな少女ぶり、小物や洋服（アカデミー賞衣装部門受賞！）カワユイのです。が、最後がなんとなく中途半端で終わりがない感じがザンネンだったかなぁ。
★マリーが寝転んでケーキのクリームを指でなめ、カメラを見て“何か？”といった風に見る表情が好きです。これぞ、歴史的によく知られた彼女浪費面と、単純で純粋な面をよく表現してるのでした。

大好きな監督ソフィア・コッポラの作品です。
マリー・アントワネットのgirlyさは
見ていて楽しかったけれど、
少し迫力に欠けた仕上がりな気がします。
ただひとつ、印象的なのは、
幼いマリーが凛として言うセリフ
My place is here with my husband.
（私は夫のそばにいます）。
幼くして王妃となったマリーが、
初めて王妃らしく振舞う場面デス！
