A friend of mine sends me a different ice cream set every year. This year, she sent me Wedgewood ice cream.
友人が、毎年違うアイスクリームセットを送ってくれます。今年は、ウェッジウッドのアイスクリーム。

It’s one of the famous china makers, which have Royal license in England. I didn’t know that they have ice cream.
英国王室が御用達の有名な陶器メーカーで、アイスまであるとは知らなかった……。

Those milk, tea and coffee flavored ice creams are really rich in taste. Usually I like milk or vanilla but I like the coffee one the most this time. I prefer, however, the package to the taste. They are just lovely.
ミルク、紅茶、コーヒーのアイスはみんな濃厚な味。普段はミルクかバニラが好きなのに、今回はコーヒーが一番。味よりもパッケージのほうがかわいいアイスです、かも。陶器メーカーだしネ。

I visited Heidi’s village, spread on the foot of the South Alps mountains, which has a rose garden, a play ground and so on.
ハイジ村。南アルプスのふもとののんびり広々な土地に、バラ園があったり、遊具があったり。

There is a small kiosk in the village, which shows “Heidi” on the screen and projects many roses spread on the floor.
Once you walk in the roses…
その中で、だーれも立ち寄らないような、小さな小屋が……入ってみると、画面にはハイジの映像が流れ、床には映し出されたバラ一面。その上を歩くと………

人に反応して、パーッとバラが道をあけてくれるんです。そして、ペーターとクララがあらわれます（踏んじゃいそう……）

Even “Heidi’s” world has gone high tech these days.
最近は、ハイジもハイテクだなぁ。

実物大？ハイジ。120ｃｍくらいかな。最近何かとＣＭに出てくるハイジとオンジ。ルーンルルーンルルンルンルン低燃ピッピッピー♪とか。わりとツボです。

I had a meeting with an editor, K-san. She always finds a cool café regardless of my selfish choice of meeting area.
編集者Ｋさんと打ち合わせ。いつもわがままな場所選びに動じることなく、素敵なお店を見つけてくださいます。


Today, we came to café Pile, which is located in a multi-tenant building. It has a lot of antique furniture but has a somewhat pop atmosphere.
今日は、雑居ビルの中のカフェ・Ｐｉｌe.　ちょっぴりアンティークなのに、ポップ感あるお店。


Their “Tiramisu café” sounds delicious, but “ it is nothing special.” K-san said. (Are you sure!? It seems really delicious though...)
ティラミスカフェ」。超おいしそー♪なのに、お味は「わりとフツーです」とか。（えー、だってすごいよさげなのに）

Behind the shop was like this. It seems as if it was created for the cafe; rather than existing there before. I rather like the tacky atmosphere.
お店の裏はこんなで、むしろ作ったみたい。これはこれで、いいね。



Cafe Pile is located at right across from the live house “Milk,"close to Ebisu station. It’s easy to miss the entrance.
カフェPileは、山の手線恵比寿駅近くのライブハウス「ミルク」の向かい、うっかりすると見落としそうな雑居カフェの２階でした。

“19 bad dietary habits”

The other day, I got a mail from a food producer, Kyotaka Minami (Kiyo-san) and attended the lecture and the party of those newly released books “19 bad dietary habits” and “Aging therapy.”
先日、フードプロデューサー南清貴さん（六本木ヒルズ「KIYO'S Kitchen」・伊勢丹「 KIYO's ZEN」などなさってました）からご連絡いただき、「エイジング・セラピー」と「実は体に悪い１９の習慣」の出版記念を兼ねた講演＆パーティにお邪魔しました。


Actual my purpose to visit there was…delicious foods which are good for your health too! One of my favorite foods is “Otsumame” chick beans; flavored with nampler and a bit hot.It's scrumtious!( You can find it in KIYO’s ZEN in Isetan Shinjyuku.)
一番のお目当てはおいしくて、体にやさしいフードメニュー♪　大好きな「オツマメ」は、ちょっぴりピリッと、ひよこ豆のナンプラー味。おいし〜です。（ご興味のある方は、伊勢丹のKIYO's ZENにもあります）


In the lecture he confessed that there are many mistakes in common dietary habits, such as “Drinking milk makes your bones strong,” ”You should stay away from oily food when you are on diet,” and so on. It made me surprised and scared.
さて講演では「牛乳は骨を作る」とか、「ダイエットで油は控えるべき」とか、常識的に良いと思われている食習慣が実は良くない……とうかがい驚きです。（牛乳の消化は日本人の体には負担なのだとか……）

こんなことが“体に悪い一例”だそうです。
「一日の始まりだから、食欲がなくても朝食を食べる」
「メタボやダイエットが気になるから、油は控える」
「野菜不足が気になるので、市販のカット野菜のサラダを食べる」
「骨を丈夫にするために牛乳を飲む」etc...

　たとえば油、質によってはむしろ摂ったほうが体にいいそうですよ。（詳細は書籍で）
特に、最近見かけるようになった“亜麻仁油”や、お豆類はオススメだそうです。

Looking back on my daily dietary life, I was like “Oh my god!” and felt chilled. I enjoyed, however, the lecture and the party with his amusing personality and speech.
自分の食生活を見直すと、キャー、ホラーの世界。でも、会は南清貴さんの話術とお人柄で、楽しく過ごせました。

キヨさんのお料理で、お肌もツヤツヤに！（砂漠化した肌、困ったときのキヨ頼み^^）

Analogical night

久しぶりに　after a long time

I met Mr.Kenta Hoshi and Kawakim Shinichi, (I used to be their editor) after some years. They created many CM and TV programs, such as "UCC Black canned coffee," the TV program "Utaban" and so on. They show steady growth.I asked them to edit a DVD, which will be released as a book this year.
以前、私が担当編集者だった星健太さんと、川上晋一さんと久々の再会。彼らは、ＵＣＣブラック缶コーヒーのＣＭやら、テレビの「うたばん」の特殊映像ほかの作品を作っています。（当時より着実にステップアップ！）
今回はお仕事のお願いで久々にお会いしたのです。


They become so much cooler than before, having dignity and being very attractive. Some men become attractive when they get older because of those reasons. I envy them.
久々にみたら、前よりもずっとカッコよく、ちょっと威厳も加わってました。男性っていいなー年をとって深みが増すから。


They took me to a wine bar, close to Shibuya station. It has a really pop
atmosphere.
そして、彼らに連れいってもらって渋谷のワインバーへ。ちょっとポップなお店。


↑映像作家の星健太さん。　↑川上さん。今や数十名抱える映像会社「アナロジカル」社長に！
ビジネスマンになりたい映像作家と、夢を追う社長さん。
磁石のＳ極とＮ極みたいに相反しつつ必要な存在。互いがいい作用。

「前は俺たちずっと金がなかったから」と、ごちそうにまでなってしまい涙です。
この男気がまたカッコイイ。

I just took their picture without their permission over there. They are just cool, aren’t they? Above all, I was happy to see my old co-workers after a long. timeで、だまってながら写真もパチリ。彼ら、いい感じです。
そして何よりも、久々に昔の仕事仲間に会えてうれしかったなぁ。

お店は、渋谷駅前マークシティに向かって左の路地をあがった一角でした。星さんがよくこのあたりに出没するとか、しないとか……。

I had interview with Kogasan of Magazine ALC. We met at a café, Pertier, on Omotesando.I know it’s an interview time, but I really enjoy their sweets, which are really beautiful.
マガジンアルクの古賀さんと、表参道にあるカフェ「ペルティエ」にて。インタビューしていただく時間とはわかりつつ、キレイなケーキに心うきうき♪



I had a fruit tart. She had chocolate cake. I was just stearing at the cake during the conversation and she just said to me “Please don’t hesitate to eat the cake.”
彼女はチョコレートケーキ、私がいただくのはフルーツタルト〜♪お話中、じーっとケーキを見ていると「遠慮なさらずに召し上がってください」と。

Oh, but...really? Thank you! It’s very sweet of you. (Big smile)
It was scrumtious！
あ、でも……そうですか〜！お気づかいいただきましてといつつ……美味です☆！


I thought that I couldn’t concentrate on the conversation until I finished eating the cake and she might have seen my feeling. Just like a brilliant editor。
ケーキがあるうちは、どうも集中できてない風を察知した様子。さすが、敏腕編集者でした。!

I visited a bar “Urban,” which is run by editors.
編集者の方が経営するスナックに。

Urban is just like a so-called “Snack,” which has somewhat of a Showa atmosphere and has Karaoke (which shows girls taking off their clothes depending on the score the singer gets…wow!)
どこか昭和な雰囲気を醸し出すまさに”スナック”なお店で、カラオケで高得点を出すと、なんと女の子が点数に応じて脱いでくれちゃったり。Wow！（あ、映像の中でです）

I visited with a columnist Soichiro Ishihara-san and ran into Suzuki Matsuo-san there.
コラムニストの石原壮一郎さん（新刊『大人の仕事力講座』絶賛発売中！）とうかがって、松尾スズキさん（アノ「大人計画」の！）にバッタリ出会いました！“大人”の大御所ぞろいです

I sung two songs with Matsuo-san. He’s really good at Karaoke and I just pulled his legs to get a high score and…the girl on the screen to stop taking off her clothes before she becomes naked…I’m terribly sorry about that.
松尾さんと２曲デュエット。超カラオケ上手〜なのに、私が高得点奪取の足を引っ張り、女の子は脱ぐ寸前でストップ。Oops...男性のみなさま申し訳ないです。

Snack Urban is located in Arakicho, where many old publishing companies exist.
スナック・アーバンは古い出版社や飲み屋さんがある界隈にありました。

Entsuin shrine in Matsushima

Entsuin is said to bring romance to the person who visits and prays at the temple.
円通院は、訪れた人の縁結びに効果があるとされています。

It enshrines the descendants of the old lord, Masamune Date.
伊達正宗の子孫がまつられています。。


There are many caves on the way to the shrine and you can enjoy the Japanese dry garden also.
神社までにはたくさんの洞穴と、枯山水のお庭。


Walking along the lined cypress trees, you can enjoy the sunlight through those trees.Write your name and wishes or the person’s name you are in love with, on the wooden doll.
杉並木を歩くと、こぼれる日差しが心地よし。そして、木製の人形に自分と相手の名前を書くと、願いがかなうとか。

円通院＝エンツウイン＝縁が通う院というゴロ合わせ。でも、ここのご住職（女性）も、これで結婚できたとか。試してみる価値はありそうです。

場所は松島海岸すぐ近くでした。

Sea urchin sushi eaten with salt

Sushitetsu, located in Honshiogama, is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. A friend of mine, who worked in Tsukiji area, comes to Sendai sometime, just to eat their sushi.


Budo shrimp, red seashell and rightly grilled fatty tuna all taste good.


The best sushi this time was... the Sea urchin sushi, which is not surrounded by seaweed and eaten with a little bit of salt not soy sauce. Mmm…it’s scrumptious.


Sushitestsu is located at 2 minute walk from Honshiogama station. (Shiogama station is about 20 min. away from Sendai station.)
