いったい今何時!?

◆英語を楽しむ

What on earth is going on!?

Expression
いったいぜんたい What on earth

I found a cool but a bit annoying watch. It has four hands. Three of them show us the time of different areas; Tokyo, London and New York. You can tell the time of three cities at a glance!….Well, is this convenient or confusing? It’s got a very sharp design anyways.

★There is another version of the watch. The name is….time is money! This watch suitable for the Economic animal type of businessman, I guess.

p.s. I think in this context, perhaps “confusing” would be better used than “annoying” (in English, annoying seems a bit strong (^.^)/だと思います)

    Hi Derek-san,

Yeah, it’s a really cool watch but it’s “confusing.”^^。 Your are right, even in Japanese, annoying (Uzai) seems a bit strong.

Actually this isn’t conveninent for daily use, but it’s good when you are travelling .Also it’s cool as a “fashion”. I’m thinking to buy one…I’m not sure yet though…

It’s getting warmer in Australia, isn’t it? It’s getting cooler and cooler in Japan.
    I envy you!

    Cheers,

Hi Yoko-san, Nice to see you again. How are you? It’s getting cold these days, isn’t it? Today, it’s very cold. Don’t catch a cold.
Wooow! Four hands? I’ve never seen them. It’s really cool. I think it has a nice function and a tasteful design. I think so, too. the name of the watch is really funny. I need a dial plate. but…, I don’t need four hands for now. You know, I’m not a workaholic. 🙂 I love automatic watches, because we don’t need to change a battery and solar power.
Thank you for giving me information. I really enjoyed it. See you soon.

    Thanks for your comment!
If you say you are a workaholic, I recommend you the one “time is money” watch^^。
I also have one automatic watch and keep it in a winding box(I’m not really sure how it is called ).
It’s getting colder then take good care of yourself!

    Hey Maco-san,

Yep, it’s really cool, isn’t it!
    It was about 1 man yen…I remember so^^;
You might be interested in the four arms one, right? It’s really sharp design and confusing too^O^
