飲みに行く go drinking / 酔っ払う get drunk
I was so excited. I found an old friend of mine from BU, Glen Cooper, on Facebook. We were in the same Journalism class. Now he is teaching visual journalism at a school in Boston and also works as a photo journalist for newspapers. I remember when he took us out for drinking, he said, “Do you wanna get drunk?” instead of “go drinking?”(lo)

すっごいうれしかったです。Facebookで、昔の大学の友人のグレンを見つけました！同じジャーナリズム専攻。今はボストンの学校でヴィジュアルジャーナリズムを専攻しながら、新聞でもフォトジャーナリストをしているようです。彼が私たちを飲みに誘うとき「飲み行かない？」ではなくて「酔っぱらわない？」だったのを覚えています（笑）。
